C’s Kicksies: The Second Installment

April 1, 2010

I went to last night’s OKC game with my buddy Joel. Joel is the best person to go to a basketball game with: he is a smart basketball guy, is a homer at heart but not obnoxiously so, and likes to make fun of the idiot fans around us.

Last night, the idiot fans were out in full force.

I’ll hit up my thoughts about the Kevin Durant Free Throw Show later on this evening.

There were some familiar booties on the heels of the Celtics last night, but some new ones too. The winner of the night is, surprise surprise, Ray Allen in his Jordan VIII PEs. Rondo came in a close second with his all black Foamposite Lites (I’m calling these the Ninja Editions).

Read ’em and weep:

Ray Ray in his new Jordan VIII PEs: the green and gray are just too hot to look at without polarized glasses, folks.

More Ray in the Jordan VIIIs: maybe a traveling exhibit of his shoes will be in effect in his retirement days...

More Rondo. More Foamposite Lites.

More Rondo. More Foamposite Lites.

My buddy Pat wants to know: does Rondo get a fine for wearing all black shoes when everyone else is wearing white shoes?? Also, which shoes will Rondo be wearing when he break's Couz's all-time Celtic assist record??

Paul Pierce in his 2010 signature shoe, Nike Air Legacy. A great color way, too: the combo gives it an old school feel.

KG still rocking his green/white Adidas TS Supernatural Commanders. And still, I think they're hideous. Remember when KG used to wear Nike? Ugh. How I long for those days where he was wearing Nike AND dominating on both ends of the floor.

Rasheed lit it up last night (7-8) in his high Nike Air Force 1s. Love the home colorway.

More about last night’s loss later on.

How do you feel about Baby’s recent switch to the Lebrons? Seems he has really taken a liking to them too. Also, Ray’s green Icons were recently released at House of Hoops.

      Fellow shoe-y:

      1) Baby wearing the Zoom Soldier IIIs aren’t great, but I do dig the all white ones that he’s been wearing. Supposedly, they offer a great deal of support. I tried a pair on during last year’s playoffs when they debuted, and I wasn’t completely in love with them. But then again, I wasn’t playing in them.

      2) Ray’s Jordan VIIIs from last night were just awesome. Between his green Icons, green/white + black/white XIIs, and these, he’s winning the shoe contest amongst the Celts. Though Rondo is giving him a good run for his money.
